This will be an opportunity for you to experience how James used his cancer diagnosis, 3 divorces, and life experiences to find self-healing.

About the Author:
Born and raised in Newark, NJ James spent his educational, years in his hometown. Starting at Peshine Avenue School and ending at Rutgers-University (Newark Campus) with a bachelor’s degree in African American Studies and a minor in Education. After many years working with youth in both educational and peer education programs, years, In 2003, James returned to his love for aquarium husbandry and launched Anderson Aquariums. Initially as a part time venture, the. side-hustle grew into a full-time job by 2007. Anderson Aquariums, Inc has become a mainstay in the Essex/Union County area for aquarium and outdoor pond installation and maintenance. James is surprised when he stops to think how his childhood hobby has turned into a career.
Another passion of James is writing. He loved English, especially creative writing. He often "doodled" words, short stories, and poems. Yet, it wasn’t until being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a blood cancer) in 2015 that his writing became very personal and very vulnerable. Through is experiences overcoming cancer, and other life experiences, James wrote is book, Doodles of a Survivor, which will be available March 2022.
James is a father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend on a path to better himself understanding that is the most powerful means that he has to optimize all other relationships. He is also the owner of Immateez.com. A fashion statement company whose designs are often inspired by or closely related to his “Doodles”. James currently resides in Union County, New Jersey where he operates both Anderson Aquariums, Inc. and Immateez, LLC.
