Every NYE we make gourmet appetizers and sample several bottles of wine an congnac from 6 pm to 1 pm. We graze on tapas and finger foods all night. We discuss our goals and aspirations. I also good a new year’s dinner to eat the next day.

Donetimes family and friends stop o we. Sometimes we watch twilight zone or other movies on 1/1. It’s peaceful and fun.

my family is from the south. So our traditional day one dimmer is typically collard green for financial prosperity, black eyed peas for good heayand a protein. I’m doing a roast.

Omg! This is a great Cab you pair iwith a charcuterie board of aged cheeses, salami and chorizo.

This is the second one I have had in the series. I tried the one with Snoop Dog on the label. That was great on its own!

What’s your favorite wine? 🍷

This was a crisp cava. Very light berry taste. If you like brut this is that. It was ok. I’m not a rose type of lady. I think I’d make a fun drink with it—adding fresh berries to a flute glass and a sugar cube. Powder the rum with sugar.

Paired well with a vodka a la penne. I think it would pair well with an Alfredo dish too.

What’s your favorite food and wine pairing?

Came across this interesting white wine. It has a grapefruit essence in the front end and a Granny Smith vibe on the back end. It paired well with Asiago and provolone cheese. My hubby and I enjoyed this crisp light hearted white wine for our in-house date night. We made a charcuterie board, played reverses and listened to r&b/neosoul music. 🎼 🎶
